Soledad O’Brien Joins Al Jazeera | Stand for Israel: "Former CNN anchor Soledad O’Brien announced yesterday that she was joining Al Jazeera America as a correspondent. It’s the highest-profile hire yet for the network owned by the Qatari government with a long history of anti-American, anti-Israel, and anti-Jewish reporting. Defenders of the network will point out that Al Jazeera America’s sister network, Al Jazeera, is the primary culprit of spreading the libel that Jews use Muslim children’s blood in religious ritual or conspiracy theories about the Jews’ role in 9/11. But that’s kind of a distinction without a difference as the ownership of both networks is the same – a government that, while it has hosted a U.S. air base, also has the worst record of counter-terrorism in the region."
